Since his breakup with Wilma, Ted had tried to reinvent himself. He started hanging out with a new set of friends - ones he knew Wilma would never have approved of. It was exhilarating at first, but Ted quickly realized he could never keep up with this new crowd's wild and crazy lifestyle. After an especially x-rated night of partying, Ted gathered his things, slipped out quietly while everyone else was sleeping and took with him what little dignity he had left.
